Office parties, Xmas Eve cocktails, the Deansgate markets. It doesn’t matter where your Christmas night out takes you, the happy glow of the celebration is usually sandwiched by a chilly journey there and back, often by tram. Hugging yourself on the platform, your breath hanging in the air, makes the warm, bright comfort of the destination all the more welcoming.
With this illustration we wanted to celebrate our city’s quiet servants, bringing everyone to their friends and home again safely – and electrically – in all weathers. Despite the snow, you can still make out the festive message being beamed into the dark city streets.
