The Manchester Tiles – The Newspaper Bee

The worker bee has always been a symbol of Mancunian spirit, echoing the hive-like industry and solidarity that has driven its greatest achievements. This Manchester bee tile brings that iconic emblem into your home.
‘We all play our part’, it says. And that’s exactly what we’ve celebrated in what has become one of our most iconic tiles. Rendered in our distinctive pen and ink style, with a backdrop of vintage newsprint, it’s an understated nod to the inspiration, work ethic and determination that electrified the fabric of the city and still does.
Each Bee Tile is designed in Manchester, hand-rolled and glazed in the UK’s ceramic heartland of Stoke-on-Trent, before returning to Manchester for local firing. The result is a finely crafted ceramic tile that feels both rooted and modern — a distinctive decorative piece celebrating Manchester’s identity.
Perfect for framing, feature walls, kitchens, bathrooms, or as part of a larger tiled installation.
